Yawn... Microsoft wakes up a decides there is yet another part of the world they wish to take over - Search. So far, so lame but like everything else with Microsoft, they get stuff out there, it sucks -- they improve it at version two, it sucks a little less. Come version three, it still sucks but it's the standard now so people just used it. As an aside, I remember playing with an early version of this months ago and some sample queries compared to Google was quite humorous. For example - Google on Linux and the first page of hits are very logical - linux.com, debian.com, etc... The same query on MS's new engine returned some 'interesting' results - like "Alternatives to the Linux Operating System" - which pointed to microsoft.com -- too funny.
