Interesting Dock Hack for Control Freaks
A picture named toPositionTheDockB.jpg

Filed under Interesting Application of the Day - this little ditty entitled toPositionTheDock which is extremely simple in what it does but if you are one of those desktop control freaks who can never quite get the dock positioned exactly the way you wanted it - give this app a look. My personal favorite feature is the ability to have your dock anchor directly into the corner of the window (i.e. bottom right) and have it slide out like an old OS9 Control Strip.

Interview with Winn Schwartau, PC Security Expert who has recently switched to the Macintosh.
A picture named tmctitle05.gif A picture named WinnSchwartau.jpg The MUG Center has published a great new podcast where they interview PC security expert, author and columnist Winn Schwartau who became net famous a few weeks back when he published his article: "Mad as hell, switching to Mac" where he essentially hit the wall as far as what he is willing to tolerate from the PC world.

While this is a pretty every day occurance, what makes Winn special is that he's widely recognized as a PC Security Expert who's writenen numerous books and articles over the years.

The MUG Center podcast interviews Winn where he goes into detail about his experiences and how he's finding life in the world of Macintosh. Overall a very worthwhile listen and if you aren't already familiar with the MUG Center, they've got a good sized collection of archived podcasts spanning a wide range of topics. Unlike many new switchers, Winn went full on and bought several new Macs, including the 17" Powerbook and a high end G5 PowerMac system.
