Truly Remarkable Times
So the eyes of the blogging world is on Seattle this weekend as Gnomedex 5 wraps up. They did an exceptional job of streaming the entire event so we can play along at home. Lot os cool stuff that's all over the web. Dave Winer did a great opening Keynote yesterday and Adam Curry did one of his all time best Daily Source Code podcasts while he presented his closing keynote address, it was truly a moving moment and I just wish I could have been there in person.

Everybody wants to be more creative than they already are.
Thanks Hugh:

Everybody wants to be more creative than they already are.

I’ll say it again:

Everybody wants to be more creative than they already are.

Everybody is born creative, everybody wants to stay that way.

But sometimes real life takes over and the creative schtick gets buried.

Few things are easier to bury. We’ve got work to do, we’ve got bills to pay. We must toil for our daily bread etc.

Few things are easier to justify than the killing of the soul. I didn’t need my soul anyway. It was in the way. It was a burden. I have this important job now, and all these important people to see. Too much soul in the mix would hamper my quality time with all the movers and shakers.

I don’t need to feel alive. Feeling alive makes you cry and this world was not made for crybabies.

Everybody wants to be more creative than they already are.
