Book Reviews from Master The Art of Reading participants

Last Lecture by Randy Pausch: An excellent guide for life from a funny and endearing professor.

Tenth Circle by Jodi Picoult: Although this was not my favorite of Picoults books, I could definitely, as a teenage girl, relate to the struggles and hardships of Trixie's first breakup. I also was quite fond of the way she was able to put a new spin on people's hardships.

Here lies Arthur by Philip Reeve: Great book...A different story about the great King Arthur...A must read for any fan of King Arthur.

Cry for the strangers by John Saul: Characters were hard to care about, plot was strange, overall just an OK read. One thumb up.

H.R.H. by Danielle Steel: One of the best Danielle Steel novels I've ever read. Complete with a twist I never saw coming.

Texas Princess by Jodi Thomas: This romance book has it all! A non-stop read!

When a Texan Gambles by Jodi Thomas: Jodi Thomas is an awesome writer. She has quickly become my 2nd favorite author.

Very Valentine by Adriana Trigiani: I enjoyed this book, it was an easy read, modern and old fashioned at the same time and not a pat, happy ending.

Lucia, Lucia by Adriana Trigiani: I very much enjoyed learning not only about Italian culture, but also about working women in the fifties. It was a bit sad, but the ending was at least a little happy.

Big Stone Gap by Adriana Trigiani: This book was full of not only sadness but also of humor, hope, and love. Adriana Trigiani was able to craft a tale that any average woman can relate to.

Devil wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger: Fun book--we can all relate to a "bad boss" at least once in our life time (even if Muskegon is a far cry from New York!)
