Hey, here's a new Internet-based photo album (Fotki). Here's a group of Fotki members who have the same camera I do (Nikon 5700). This looks most excellent. I wonder what the best photo album is? I already use Ofoto for printing and Pbase.com for some of my stuff. I like them both too.

The Nikon forum is holding yet another photo challenge. This time they are looking for still lifes. Here's an example (and the challenge thread). I love this forum. People posting photos for the fun of it (and for the honor of having your peers tell you you're good). Imagine if all of life was like this.

See, Maryam, drinking regularly is good for me. At least that's what the BBC is saying today.

Ahh, the new way to find out if someone has died. Search for them on Google News (here's Brandy Frank's results). If I ever show up on Google News don't send flowers or money, do something nice for someone else. That'd be a grand legacy.

Microsoft MVP's hearts have been hanging low the past few days since news surfaced that Brandy Frank (Lawson) died in a traffic accident over the weekend. Here's the latest news (they found her dog, by the way). Really sad. Everyone in the program loved her and she was only 29 and newly-married. Hug your loved ones. Tomorrow isn't guaranteed.

Another Apple switcher. "Hi, I'm John Robb, and I'm the CEO of a software company that makes Windows software."

Wow, what a trip. An former co-worker of mine, Robert Lantry, wrote quite a bit of the software that ships on the TabletPCs. Congrats Robert. I use your stuff a lot lately. I wish you had a blog.

Dave, I hope you keep changing your mind too. Shit, as a salesperson, marketing dweeb, evangelist, where would we ever get if people +didn't+ change their minds? I wanna show you something new and have you change your life in response. I still remember the dweeb in 1988 who told me "the world doesn't need GUI's." Yeah, right.

If my ideas are good ones, they'll cause Dave to change his mind. If they are bad he'll say "f*ck off Scoble." Believe me, my batting score isn't all that high.

Speaking of Dave, anyone wanna get together this weekend with some famous (and not so famous) bloggers? I'm wifeless and childless on Saturday night and want to hang out with interesting people. Are you interesting? Can you be in San Francisco near the Bay Bridge at about 6 p.m.? Send me email at robertscoble@hotmail.com to join a wild group of webloggers for dinner.

Of course, Brian McBride doesn't like Chris' new design, calling it amateurish. I don't mind it. I thought Chris had an RSS feed too.

I really like Chris Pirillo's new weblog design. Very original.
