After a nice chat with Dave the other day, I looked into plane fares to SF. I keep promising to come over, and there's no better future than the present! I was, however, apalled at the rates airlines are charging business class travellers. $6000 for a round trip? While economy class is $400 roundtrip. After ensuring through my travel agent that bizz-class does not somehow include adult entertainment models as flight attendants, I aksed a question that apparently is novel: Can I book 4 seats in economy? I figure that as long as the seats are all in the middle of the plane, I can stretch out all 6'4" on 4 seats, eat the same crap food (I'll bring my own silverware) at a 5th of the price. Apparently the airlines don't like selling seats that won't be used by bodies, but it can be done. With any luck they'll overbook and will offer to swap my 4 economy seats for business class, but I'll hold out for first :-) 8:41:20 PM    Discuss
