Man, the internet is a wacky place. The strangest ideas sometimes catch fire and spread. Fast. Audioblogging appears to be one one of them. I'm getting lots of flow and linkage and excellent feedback both in the comments as well as privately through email. There's something about being able to read along with an authour that makes it somehow quite appealing.
My goal in this experiment is to stimulate developers, to deliver 'content' on a regular basis that can actually be used royalty free, and yet not be a total waste of bandwidth. (subject to taste of course).
I was just reading the change notes on RSS 0.94, which includes elements that make distribution over GNUtella possible. This could be used for audio files! Otherwise I foresee lots of bandwidth and storage problems for those inclined to crack the mic. Perhaps this can be integrated somehow with Peercast, which streams audio over GNUtella networks.
The next steps are beginning to dawn...video. I'm almost ready to start my visual weblog :)
