How to see what was updated in your Radio.root, adapted from Brent Simmons' original message From within the Radio application
1) Press cntl+j (mac users use cmd+j, menu lovers look in Tools>Developers>Jump...) and type the following in the textbox, user.rootUpdates then click OK (press enter/return) A window opens, displaying this part of your radio.root... I will presume you need to create an outline now to store your root update information.
2) Click on the heading labelled "prefs" 3) From the Table menu on the main menu bar, select "New Outline" A dialog box appears, asking for the name to be used for the new outline.
4) In the dialog box, type, updateOutline then click OK (press enter/return) 5) If you do not already see the 3 items in that table, then double-click on the wedge next to "prefs" You should see the following entries under "prefs": adrOutlineForUser flShowUpdatesToUser timeout 6) Double-click on the value for flShowUpdatesToUser, and change it to be true This will cause the updates outline to open automatically when an update is received.
7) If needed, change the value of adrOutlineForUser to be @user.rootUpdates.updateOutline
The next time you get an updated part in Radio, it will cause an
outline to open, which lists the day's date and timestamp and the newly
updated parts. As you get new updates, they will be added above the old entries. Garth points to someone asking why there isn't spell-checking in Radio. Garth has part of the correct answer, but may not be aware of the solution that was created by the amazing Sam DeVore. http://toolsdirectory.manilasites.com/directory/9/xmlrpcSpellcheckingTool
Only wrinkle is Sam's Spell.root only works inside of the Radio application, it won't run in the web browser text window. For that you'd need something like OmniWeb on OS X. I'm also not certain of how well it performs for Windows folks...
