SatireWire | Australia Gets Drunk, Wakes Up in North Atlantic: "After what witnesses described as an all night blinder during which it kept droning on about how it was always being bloody ignored by the whole bloody world and would bloody well stand to do something about it, Australia this morning woke up to find itself in the middle of the North Atlantic.

Sure you laugh, but I've got enough Australian friends to know that this is a real possibility. I also know the truth about the Thorpedo, but that's another story...  10:48:40 PM  permalink   Add a comment

I know this is horrible, but when I think of the crematory situation down in Georgia, I think of Zombies. The whole thing with the corpses strewn across the crematorium grounds (and possibly dumped in the lake... Yikes!!!) is incredibly creepy and, and even though I know better, if I were living nearby i think I'd have to prepare for the walking dead.

After all, once you let one horror movie cliche leap into reality, why not Zombies?  10:02:51 PM  permalink   Add a comment

Film Sound Cliches: "Applies to absolutely every movie: Some noisy event (crash, shot, explosion) occurs at quite a distance from the camera. Nevertheless, the sound is heard at the same instant. The speed of sound - usually 300 meters per second - here always is the same as the speed of light.

Fark.com Comments Thingee (119157): you don't find it odd that this guy, who still lives with his mom, on the grounds of a crematorium has thousands of unburied bodies lying around his property, some of which are at least 10 years old? yeah, this guy isn't straight out of a bad movie at all. totally normal.  6:52:29 PM  permalink   Add a comment

Ted Morgan. "Howard Hughes was able to afford the luxury of madness, like a man who not only thinks he is Napoleon but hires an army to prove it." [Quotes of the Day]  6:02:11 PM  permalink   Add a comment
