"The Anchorage Daily News has a sad story of a moose that bit off more than he could chew. He ambled through a garden, dragging an 18 foot swingset with him. The kids are distraught at the loss of their garden furniture, but the parents philosophical. Mum Jennifer Wallis was just glad the moose hadn't trashed the bay window. -- "We figure he's still carrying eight to ten foot of bar, along with two legs and three swings". Moose specialist Larry Lewis demonstrated that he is actually a character in a Coen brothers film when he added "The moose will be pretty easy to recognise."

This is a subject I could well and truly own. Moose rule my neighborhood. I see 4 or 5 a week wandering down the street.There are moose dropping in my front yard, even as I write this. In fact, once, a wayward moose jumping out of my fenced yard didn't loop before he lept, and put its hooves through the rear window of my Ford Explorer.

Ouch. Try explaining that one to the insurance adjuster.
