Thou shalt not click on emailed links: " phish.jpg

A great way for credit-card stealing monsters to get your personal information is to send you an email that looks like it's from your bank with a link that says 'click here to update your information.'

DO NOT CLICK ON THIS LINK. Do not enter personal information on any site that you reached via a link in an email, especially if it's supposedly from a financial institution.

So if Citibank sends you such an email and you think it might be legit, DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK. Instead, go to your web browser and type in the bank's web site address yourself. There are nefarious ways to dupe you into going to EvilCreditCardThief.com through a link that looks like it's to an upstanding financial institution. Weblogger Matt Haughey posted a photo of such a scam (PayPal, this time) to illustrate the point.

Did I mention YOU SHOULD NOT CLICK ON LINKS IN UNTRUSTED EMAIL? 'Cuz you shouldn't.
