DVD-R on my eMac A couple months ago I inherited a 17" eMac, with SuperDrive. I'm running Tiger on it, of course. I've been busy downloading DVD files on BitTorrent, and have something weird going on. I can burn DVD-R discs just fine, and they play, just fine, in newer DVD players. But when I insert them in the eMac, DVDPlayer fires up fine, and the disc mounts, but when I try to play the disc in DVDPlayer, I get the message "Supported Disc Not Available," and it's very frustrating. I've searched various fora, and made sure my software is up to date, and done things like reset the PRAM and Open Firmware, and rebuilt permissions, but nothing's heop so far. If someone has a hint, please let me know. I've been using 8X Maxell discs, for what that's worth. 11:02:36 AM    comment []
