Newton MP2x00 Display Upgrade

Replace the touchscreen and backlight of your Newton for $146. Assembly is required, but apparently there are people in the US, Spain, and Germany who can do it for you. This could be useful for people who have scratched up screens or worn-out backlights on Newtons which are otherwise in good shape.

According to this post on the NewtonTalk mailing list, references to the Newton have been removed from Apple's page on Inkwell.

AT&T Broadband Introduces Tiered Pricing [Slashdot]

The new tier is 3mbps downstream and 384kbps upstream for $82.95. That's a bit under twice what I pay now, for twice the downstream speed and 50% faster upstream. I'd probably pay for this if AT&T was offering it in Los Angeles.
