Megnut: "For those of us that are self-employed, and for those that are unemployed, health insurance continues to be a big expense, and an even bigger pain in the neck." Amen. [Scripting News]

It's a big expense for those of us working for large companies too. Just because it doesn't show up as a big deduction on my paycheck doesn't mean I'm not paying for it. If I had a choice I would gladly give up my company-provided health insurance in exchange for the $10,000/year (or whatever) that Symantec spends on it.

News.Com: Hyperlink patent case fails to click [Scripting News]

BT lost its attempt to extort money from ISPs (starting with Prodigy) for a bogus patent. While that's hardly surprising, I wonder how much money Prodigy had to waste on lawyers?
