Sony debuts new Clie handhelds [MacCentral]

Sony is continuing to use their clamshell design. I've seen one of these at work, although I haven't been able to use it (the boss keeps it for himself). It looks like a pretty impressive design, though, certainly better than the other Palm devices I've seen.

Lots of interesting information on the record industry's dubious practices. The RIAA claims to oppose MP3 technology and song-swapping because it "hurts the artists," but it's pretty clear the RIAA is doing far more to hurt the artists than anyone else could.
