Seatguru.com.  For those few that do still fly.  Here is a way to handicap seats. [John Robb's Radio Weblog]

Historian Stephen Ambrose, Author of Band of Brothers, Dead at 66. The band of the brothers of World War II veterans lost their greatest champion early Sunday when best-selling historian Stephen E. Ambrose, 66, died at a Bay St. Louis, Miss., hospital, after a long battle with lung cancer.

Ambrose, an armchair Ernie Pyle, wrote mainstream books including Band of Brothers, later made into a television miniseries, that repopularized historical and fictional accounts of World War II and made America's aging veterans hometown heroes again. [Fox News]
