Quick Monday Coffee Talk
To Wendell and everyone else who's paged or emailed, thanks for the concern about my notebook. Today I went over to Gold Source in Walnut (5.6 miles door-2-door,) and picked up a 30 GB Toshiba notebook hard drive for the excellent price of $120.
Now I've decided to mirror this drive over to the new drive via a little cableset which allows me to use my PCMCIA slot to connect directly to the new notebook drive from NetCom Direct. (Cost $29.00) and Norton's Ghost or other mirroring software. If any of you have an suggestions on software-- NOW is the time to tell me about it via email or COMMENTS.
I suspect this will save me hours of cussing and fuming, because as Doug will tell you, "Mary Lu rebuilding her system from the ground up is not a pleasant person to live with."
There are a lot of things in the news going on today. I'd love to sit here and do a lot of writing, but I can't at the moment-- Other obligations are calling me. Yes-- It appears the country's gone to hell in a handbasket, but if you look at the bigger picture-- things aren't so bad.
