 Sunday Coffee Talk
Sorry about the lack of attention to the blog this weekend. I've been suffering from a massive skull splitting headache. It appears the toxins from the food poisoning are finally working their way out of my body, but the recovery hasn't been enjoyable. The normal headache meds have helped, as long as I took them on a regular schedule of 4-5 hours. At least I'm getting over it.
Today we're going to a "cook out" in Berman Country in the San Fernando Valley with some friends who work in the entertainment industry. The rest of the group is made up of political types. It should prove interesting to hear what they have to say. With CARP and Berman's latest hair brain proposed law, I suspect we will all have something to talk about.
Bloggin' BarBQ: Roasting Congress
There is nothing like a Sunday evening with a group of post production people, beer, steaks, corn-on-the-cob and other goodies. In Southern California its as close to a family picnic as it gets. For those of you who don't know this group we're picnic-a-nicking with are the people are the folks who make the stars look and sound good. Many of the guests at this shindig are people actually invent, use and repair the technology for the major players and companies. We're called the entertainment-geeks. The rest of the tribe is in the trades and a few major political types who work in goverment around the city and county. It always makes for an interesting mix.
The steaks are ready, so I'm breaking to eat. More as the evening continues... and there will be no pictures or names to protect the sources...
