Fans shower field after win
Fans showered the field with debris, including glass bottles and plastic souvenirs, after Washington defeated Washington State 29-26 in triple-overtime Saturday night.
The commotion started immediately after the game, with Washington celebrating its victory on the Cougars' home field. The rowdy behavior continued for about 10 minutes after the Huskies entered a tunnel leading to locker room.

What this article doesn't make clear is that it was the upset WSU students and fans who showered the field in anger and shock over the end of the game. It's too bad it ended the way it did, because it was an amazing game that took three overtime periods to settle. The NFL should look at adopting this system for its overtime games. If Ohio State had lost I would have been pulling for the Cougs to make the Fiesta Bowl game -- but that was not to be. BOW DOWN TO WASHINGTON!!!...mj
