The relative peace and quiet of Perth has enabled me to write down the projects I have been thinking about over the last 18 months. This one has attained a sense of urgency since 9/11.

The O’Reilly Network has published this article written by their Managing Editor Derrick Story on GoLive 6. He relates something about its history before it was bought by Adobe, and notes the Macromedia connection by way of Greg Rewis.
I have not tried out GoLive 6 yet, but what I like about it is its excellent QuickTime editor, its WorkGroup server, and its support for MySQL and PHP. It competes now with Dreamweaver UltraDev as a product for building database-based websites.
Many thanks to Thomas Kock for the pointer to this article.
