The Hind Leg Project

This is a call for contributions for a video project I'm putting together. (This is not a joke, by the way).

You know how dogs if scratched/tickled in the appropriate way will make non-connecting scratching movements with a rear leg?

Please video your pet making the appropriate movements, pop it on a web or FTP server somewhere and send me the URL. Alternatively (especially for mult-multi megabyte files), send a CD or DVD to my snail mail address as shown here. Please ensure that you supply the name of the dog, your name, and your e-mail address (which will only be used for purposes directly related to this project). Sorry, but I will not be able to return any submissions.

I plan to make a video out of the contributions. This will be shown at an art exhibition next year. The film may also be placed on the web, if I can get some free hosting/bandwidth. A TV broadcast would also be nice.

Contributions which make the cut will earn a signed limited edition CD-ROM of the completed piece, an invitation to the premier, attribution and my eternal gratitude.

I've put an example of the sort of thing I'm looking for here. I'll be trying to get some better clips of Spike shortly. I'm sure I can better than that. And so can you.

Legal stuff: (to avoid any problems later on)
In contributing, you agree to allow me to use the video/audio as I see fit.
You will retain copyright on the items you contribute.

Plain English, please. Reports that say that something hasn't happened are always interesting to me, because as we know, there are known knowns;... [hebig.org/blog]

I'm no great fan of Mr Rumsfeld, and I can see the quote is amusing enough, but it seems strange to single it out. It actually makes sense, even if it is necessarily convoluted.

The Rumsfeld example pales beside our own dear John Prescott, who should receive a life-time non-acheivement award from the Plain English Campaign. (Just don't ask me to stick around for the acceptance speech).

Temptation. Via Delacour (an excellent piece by the way), a pointer to the new Leica Digilux 2, also on the hot-news page at Steve's Digicams. Oh my goodness. [ongoing]

Why don’t some cities add fluoride to the drinking water?  [Ask Yahoo!]

S.hitkatapult | mschmidt. Behind the S.hitkatapult moniker, and the tag "Special music for special people" lies this very interesting German music label. Nice feel on their site, a huge selection of releases. [KALIBER10000]
