The Mirrored Spheres of Patagonia by Matt Webb, who I met at the Xmas party.

And so to bed - late again. (I'm trying to get into better a sleeping pattern).

Going up
More than 30 people die in elevator-related accidents each year in the United States.

Of course, you could always take the escalator instead.

This item, What's your funniest Elevator / Lift story? proves that funniest is a loosely used term.

Weblog software
I was going to make a list of the available weblogging software out there, when I found this list on Yahoo!

The list is incomplete (no CityDesk, no Crimson, no Pivot, no Tinderbox , no Sparkpod), and it includes items that are weblog related tools rather than weblog creation software, but it's a good indication of the speed of growth of the weblog software world.

(I don't normally post about weblogging, but it's a useful link, and besides, most weblog people have a vague interest in weblog software, just like most drivers have a vague interest in cars).

Unconfirmed, as yet.

Update: Now confirmed
British Prime Minister Tony Blair confirmed the news, saying it "removes the shadow" hanging over Iraq.
