Lotus Notes to mbox converter?
If management were sane (ignoring for the moment that sane folk do not use Lotus at all), one would just enable the Lotus Domino IMAP server in order to permit the rest of us to use our email clients of choice. Given security paranoia with respect to IMAP servers, I started looking into the Java interface that Lotus exports. Looks like it wouldn't be too hard to whip up a daemon that would periodically convert the Lotus email database into an mbox file so that I could use emacs/vm or something like that to read and write email.
Maybe the "lazy web" will already have come up with something...
