Saw a couple of interesting birds this weekend at San Simeon State Park. Three Western Bluebirds: one male and two females.
And a big bird that looked like a Northern Flicker, except that the whole under-wing and breast was reddish, instead of spotted.
The Vernal Pool was full of water this time. Photos tomorrow, but I didn't bring my camera on the ride up into the state park, so no bird photos. Here is a link to the photos from my summer trip there. 9:51:46 AM comment/
