Colorado Water

Farmers, ranchers, and plain old folk are worried about oil and gas exploration under their property for the potential of fouling underground water supplies. The BLM is holding a big minerals sale this week, according to the Denver Post [February 9, 2004, "South Park residents worry about drilling"]. This is a big deal. I was in the oil & gas business in the eighties. I've watched drilling rigs go up in a farmer's irrigated pasture. The right of ingress and egress.

2004 Presidential Election

John Kerry won the Maine caucuses yesterday. Next up Tennessee and Virginia on Tuesday then Wisconsin, February 17th.

Update: Taegan Goddard is pointing to the Survey USA polls for Tennessee and Virginia. John Kerry is ahead of John Edwards by 10 points in Tennesse and 21 points in Virginia.
