Denver November 2004 Election
Here's an article about the chances that the democratic party will win back control of the U.S. Senate this year, from the Denver Post [September 5, 2004, "Battle for control of Senate to be fought on GOP turf"]. From the article, "Top political analysts say races in eight states - including Colorado - are too close to call, but every state has one thing in common: President Bush won there in 2000."

2004 Presidential Election
Electoral-vote.com: "No new state polls today. However, there is a whole herd of national polls that reflect the expected postconvention bounce... Given this much spread, you can read anything you want into them. My own take is that Bush is now slightly ahead. But the race really begins after Labor Day. State polls will start coming out later in the week. Zogby, for example, will report on all the battleground states Tuesday afternoon."
