Denver November 2004 Election
Early voting starts on October 18th but many of the candidates in the races in Denver are strangely quiet. No websites, no candidate forums, few yard signs, etc. Here's a link to the sample ballot on DenverGov. I guess the race for U.S. Senate and President has the voter's attention. I'll keep looking for information. Candidates and campaigns, please email me with information and I'll be glad to post it. I'm most interested in websites, weblogs, and forum/debate information.
The Rocky Mountain News is blasting the Denver Chamber of Commerce over their support for Referendum 4A [September 25, 2004, "FasTracks is no jobs program"]. From the editorial, "Naive metro voters who believe the chamber is a fiscally conservative defender of the private sector might assume its endorsement of FasTracks represents an unusual departure justified by the special attractiveness of the plan. Nothing could be further from the truth. If voters want a fiscally sober analysis of FasTracks, the chamber is, alas, just about the last place they should go to look for it."
