Iraqi Election
I have no idea about the politics or beliefs of the people who've started the website Friends of Democracy. I just ran across the link on Iraq the Model. The friends tell us that they are reporting, "Ground-level election news from the people of Iraq." This should be an interesting week.

Blogging vs. Journalism
David Weinberger: "The other big gap between us is easy to state but hard to explain: The media is owned. The blogosphere isn't. We together are building it. It's ours not (just) in the sense of ownership but in the sense of what we care about and what we are."

2008 Presidential Election

Bruised by defeats in the last two presidential elections, they milled around the hotel lobby discussing whether the party should sharpen criticism of the Bush administration or soften its tone to appeal to independents and moderates."
