Beat Scientology...
The Scientologist have manage to own the term Scientology in Google. I bet we can beat them, so here is a site that explains the whole thing. I propose that weblogs use the following code:
Why? Because <a href="http://www.operatingthetan.com/google/" > Scientology</a> Sucks!
If enough weblogs publish this link we can beat the Scientologists.
Why? Because Scientology Sucks!

A new meaning for viral marketing
| A reader who kindly used this blog as her start page in IE5 (Windows) suddenly finds that her new start page is Search 4 It! Your Everything Startpage! She thinks my page was targeted for this nastiness, but it looks to me like the S4I people have something going on that hacks browser preferences, almost like a virus. |
| But I don't know. Any ideas? | [Doc Searls Weblog]
Sure, this is old actually. You can write a combination Javascript/ActiveX, that will make any page your home page... Anyone that has ActiveX, active is looking for trouble and deserves the results.

NYT. The P in PC is for photos.
>>>That system won't last long in the digital age, however. Once you've bought the equipment, digital photography is free [~] there is no cost for film or developing [~] so people snap far more shots than they did with film cameras. Even Michael Jordan's shoe boxes wouldn't hold them all.<<<
Sharing photos is still too hard. I can send photos via e-mail or post a couple to the Web, but I can't easily share whole albums with friends and family. What I want is a desktop content management system that lets me organize my photos into albums using a browser interface. I then would like to share these albums with friends and family using P2P. That way, my father could subscribe to albums I create. P2P would provide him with ongoing updates of my albums as I put in new pictures and an easy to use browser interface to view them in. I don't know if I understand what John wants, but I am sure if I did I would want it too! Currently I export web pages in iPhoto and then publish the link in my weblogs. Certainly this could be easier and have more options, but I am sure John means something else...no?
