Web Stats - I often take a moment to look at the statistics from my web server. It has this little interface that lets you see who is currently connected to your server. Kind of like looking over someone's shoulder, as you can see what pages they are viewing, and hence know what they've clicked on. I just itch to say "May I help you?" or "Everything ok?" or "You'll love our courses!" Could my ISP be persuaded to add a "whisperBox" that pops up in their browser and let's me chat with them. 1:59:29 PM    Comments ()

GoogleStak Update #2 - Well the home page (the subject of the GoogleStak) was refreshed by Google again just now, and the changes I made to the page last night were reflected in the new entry in the cache [of course]. The exciting thing is that for my selected keywords we are having some great success. What seems to have happened is that rather than forcing a higher page rank [as my hypothesis stated] - which is still 4/10, the GoogleStak gave me the opportunity [by providing a daily refresh] to massage the text on my page and update the copy to try and rank higher in searches. GoogleStak Update - even though my idea was not taken up by a large number of people, we have seen some results. The home page of http://www.standouttraining.com was refreshed in the cache on the 5th and the 6th February. I will be very interested to see if it is updaterd on the 7th as well. Previously it was on a 4 - 6 week update cycle. PageRank remains at 4/10. 4:02:09 AM    Comments ()
