reports confirming this destructive Mac OS X bug:
"I have a data destructive glitch in OS X to tell you and your readers

I received a document, opened it from within Mail, edited it, saved it, closed it. At this point, if you double click on your document in Mail
again, it opens and all your changes are there. But, if you quit and
relaunch Mail, all that editing is gone... With no warning.

Millennia Mic Pres Boost Oscars
Hollywood, CA (April 11, 2002)--Seventy-two channels of Millennia HV-3
solid-state microphone preamplifiers were employed for orchestra and
critical program miking at the 2002 Academy Awards broadcast in Hollywood
last month. [ProSound News] That's a pile of great mic pre's. Wow. I didn't hear or see the show but if it didn't sound great it wasn't because they didn't have a great front end. We have 20 channels in CBC Radio in Toronto and they get used all the time . . . generally out ton more than one gig at a time.
