Faith the Vampire Slayer?

Earlier this week at went to a forum in which several newspaper and television editors and producers, including the editors of the letters section of the Toronto Star and National Post talked about their policies. I believe that none of the people who took part in that forum would have been so stupid and irresponsible to print letters as anti-Semitic as the letter entitled Jews manipulate America that The Daily Illini, a student publication of the University of Illinois published. Nor would they be so craven to claim they had to publish the letter. (via Kesher Talk)

Let the editors of this "newspaper" know that they have to show some responsibility. People can be sick nuts but they don’t need to be given a platform to use.

Gregg Easterbrook debates former Microsoft chief technology officer Nathan Myhrvold on the future of the space program and the space shuttle. Both agree that the shuttle is not suitable, as it is too expensive and dangerous to use. Both suggest building newer vehicles. Myhrvold is open to what type of new vehicles while Easterbrook wants a combination of one-shot unmanned rockets and a smaller space plane for ferrying astronauts to orbit.

What if a space shuttle is really needed to bring something down? Could a smaller space plane to a suitable platform for repair missions?

Natan Sharansky’s mainly Russian Yisrael b'Aliyah has agreed to join the Likud party increasing Likud’s total seats in the 120 seat Knesset to 40 from 38. Sharansky will become the Minister in charge of charge of diaspora affairs (relations with Jews outside of Israel) and Jerusalem.

Ha’aretz suggests that this is a sign that Yisrael b'Aliyah’s Russian supporters do not feel they need a special party to fight for them, but can depend on mainstream parties to do so.
