Canucks in Kabul

The Canadian government announced it will send up to 2,000 soldiers to Afghanistan to join a United Nations-mandated security force based in Kabul. The size of this force together with Canada’s existing peacekeeping force in Bosnia will likely mean that Canada will be unable to send a sizeable number of troops to any conflict will Iraq, which could be the whole point of the Afghan deployment.

Chief Ashkenzai Rabbi Yisrael Lau of Israel on the Belgian ruling that Prime Minister Prime Minister Ariel Sharon could be persecuted for war crimes.

"The thought that a nation which stood by and watched when Jewish blood was spilled and ignored the victims' cries, is now elevating itself in the position of world policeman is outrageous in the extreme."

The Jerusalem Post states that most people in Belgium already think that Sharon is guilty and that the statement in the press are or are verging on anti-Semitic.

Well no Belgian Chocolates for me. Boycott Belgium.
