Belgium's highest court ruled that Prime Minister Ariel Sharon of Israel could be tried for war crimes under the nation's laws once he leaves office. It also ruled that the case against Amos Yaron, the former Israeli Army chief of staff could proceed immediately. The two are accused of having a part in the 1982 massacres at the Sabra and Shatila refugee camps by Christian militias. Israel has told Belgium to get stuffed. 11:07:19 PM ![]() |
The US Air Force photo the Space Shuttle Columbia that may indicate damage to the shuttle's wing shortly before the planned landing is not an official picture. Engineers at the Starfire Optical Range at Kirtland Air Force Base using commercially available equipment they setup as a hobby.
