Somehow people reviewing UPN’s new computer animated sitcom Game Over which is about the off-duty lives of a family of computer game characters don’t mention a previous similar cartoon, Reboot. A posting in Slate’s Fray describes the pioneering efforts of Reboot quite well.

Canadian Tech Update

ATI Technologies

Nvidia Corp, which is Ati Technologies main competitor in the high-end graphics chip market is expected to unveil it next-generation NV40 graphics chip on April 13 in San Francisco. Unlike ATI’s R420 design, Nvidia will not be using a native PCI Express bus design but rather use a bridge chip to interface the AGP bus design with the newer standard. How fast the NV40 family of chips is will determine much of ATI’s fortunes in the upcoming year.

Now Magazine examines the reasons and effects of Adbuster’s list of people they identified as neo-conservatives with Jews specially singled out. They call it "race baiting" and quote a professor of history as saying, "such list-making has always produced pernicious consequences. As expected the author of the list defends himself by saying he is "examining those in power" and even claims he maybe partially Jewish. The article states:

So what was the point behind Lasn's piece? Lasn insists he isn't being anti-Semitic. "I suspect I have some Jewish blood," he tells me. Rather, he says his aim is to examine those in power. He is frustrated by the mainstream media's "avoidance of the issue," he explains, and believes it is important to put the issue up for debate.

But it notes:

Despite his call for debate, Lasn seems to have already made up his mind regarding the "Jewish influence" in American foreign policy, and says that if Palestinians were in the White House, there likely would have been no war in Iraq. Similarly, he sees no problem with conflating right-wing Zionism and Judaism. "There's a certain upbringing, a certain education, a certain set of values that comes with being Jewish," he says. "There's a lot of baggage that comes with it."

And what would that baggage be? Can you provide a list maybe?

Lasn also responds on the Adbuster website reusing the line "If half the neocons were Palestinians, would the US have invaded Iraq".

The answer of course is yes. The war done nothing to do with Israel but rather what US President George W. Bush has decided is the best course of action to make the United States safer. People can disagree if this is the right choice or even a valid one but to think that anyone other than President Bush made the decision is wrong.
