Anandtech has details on Intel’s planned numbering system for its new CPUs. They ask the question: If each new mainstream chip is in the form 5x0 what happens when the 4.2 GHz Pentium 4 comes out? 590a?

But they will have more time to figure this out – Intel may delay shipping the faster LGA775 socket T Pentium 4 processors until June rather than the expected May timeframe. Furthermore the actual distribution of chips to resellers will not occur until July.

Don't Ask Him to Throw a Puck

Good news for left-handed pitcher Erik Bedard of Navan, Ontario, he has made the starting rotation of the Baltimore Orioles. As the fifth starter his first game will be on April 10th, through it may be his only start of the month due to the Orioles having the first three Mondays in April off allowing them to switch to a four man rotation for the rest of the month.

Bad news for Team Canada: The Orioles were ready to let Bedard play for Canada’s baseball team in the 2004 Summer Olympics. If Bedard is playing in the majors at that time the deal is off.
