At last a significant international voice speaks out! It's just a bit sad that it's taken so long. Mary Robinson literally changed the face of Irish society during her term as President, and we were sorry to see her decline a second term. Her heart was originally set on the UN Refugees portfolio, as far as I remember, and we heard reports not too long ago that she wanted to give up her present post at the end of her tenure because of frustration with the ineffectuality of the position. The Israeli reaction to her comments can surely only further fuel her frustration.
