I've just checked out the Radio Discussion Group and spotted that Comments have now been implemented. So this is my first try at using this new feature. I've edited the Item template, done this, and now it's for posting . . .
Halleluiah! This is a great feature. The only unfortunate aspect, of course, is that getting no comments will make one feel even worse than not featuring on the top-100 list!

SJ Mercury: Copyright dictators are winning out. Dan Gillmor. The U.S. Supreme Court said Tuesday it's going to decide if that's what the nation's founders intended when they wrote the copyright clause of the Constitution. It's the most important case of its kind in years, and the first of many that will determine fundamental rights in the Information Age. [Tomalak's Realm]
This is a well-reasoned and interesting read. Of particular interest to me as an EU resident is the reference to the US Congress's most recent extension of copyright being partly motivated by a desire to bring US law into line with that in the EU. Dan deals neatly with this, and has certainly led me to to investigate the European situation further.
