I saw the new Star Wars movie the other day. I was glad to see it was the *stupid* Jar Jar Binks who was duped by the evil doers into proposing the militarization. The next day, Gephardt comes out for invading Iraq.

You could say it took the Bush junta a year and a half to degrade our defenses against terrorism sufficiently to allow the September 11 attack. With defenses now on alert, there is little chance of an external terrorist strike to divert attention and help the Bushistas to stifle internal dissent.

The mass reorganization Bush proposes will refocus our anti-terrorism defenses on bureaucratic manuvering, and give terrorists the best possible chance to strike at American citizens and allow Bush to seize more power.
