It's a lovely day in sleepy Menlo Park. Alas, I'm feeling a bit hung over. I was watching the jazz band at Cafe Borrone last night. What can I say? Beautiful women go straight to my head. Beautiful young woman wants to hear my take on the techno bubble or digital media, who am I to close my mouth? But I'm moving slow this ~~morning~~ afternoon.

Trillions of dollars on the table: STOP SPAM NOW. Email offers tremendous value to the planet, but spam destroys much of the value. Outlaw spam. Some will go off-shore, but we'll get most of it.

We need to be able to publish our email addresses so people can find us, and we need to only get legitimate email, so we don't have to hunt through thousands of disgusting spams.

Where are the people who want to "protect children"? You want to mess with libraries, but you aren't outraged by children getting porno-spam?
