Comment - Article makes a big deal about a group of hunters who insist on
humane killing of deer. To be in the group, you have to practice your
marksmanship to prove you can hit a deer and kill it quickly. And you have
to value the spirituality of nature, blah blah blah.
Dave, Brandon and I (and the other guys I've hunted with) have always been
humane hunters. That's what Dad taught Dave and I. Maybe I've been lucky
that I've never hunted with nitwits.
The article writer obviously never hunted deer before, and must have gotten
his impressions of deer hunting from a video game (where hunters stalk deer
with bazookas and flame throwers).
The article does make some good points about the aging demographic of deer
hunters, and the fact that if someone doesn't shoot these huge herds of deer
(especially the does) then the deer are going to overrun our roads and
neighborhoods. In other words, just letting the deer live in peace is not an
option.

Comment - That's the malady where you put a laptop on your lap, and the heat
from the laptop exhaust fries your legs. So, this gadget is a tray on which
you put the laptop in order to dissipate the heat away from your skin.
Actually, the heat is kind of nice in the winter. But it can warm you up
quickly during the summer.
