Did some work today on getting Aggie to use the OPML form of the Syndic8 personal list exports. I had a very pleasant time working with Bill Kearny, who just fired up his blog yesterday, and Jeff Barr. They were both very helpful and clearly wanted Aggie to inter-op with Syndic8.
I have created a home page for Aggie:
http://bitworking.org/Aggie.html
Something to use as a permanent link to the software.
Happy Half-Birthday Mark.
I am currently working on Aggie RC3. The code is in for the ETag support, between Simon Fell's very clear description of how ETag is supposed to work and the comprehensive support for web protocols in .NET this was a fairly simple enhancement. This can make a big performance boost depending on how often you use Aggie and how often the channels you subscribe to change.
The other change is to the OPML file reader. Syndic8 can serve up your list of subscribed feeds in OPML format. Unfortunately it is slightly different than the OPML that Aggie currenly accepts, so I am going to update Aggie to accept their OPML files also.
