Sorry for the low volume week ... It's been one of those rugged weeks, the kind of "Kick Scott in the head" weeks.  And then "He's up?  Kick 'em again!".  I've spent much of it being first a Windows 2K SysAdmin and then a *nix SysAdmin.  But a lot of good things are going to flow out of it so that's not so bad.  I have a huge backlog of stories all at the 80% done range so expect those soon.  First on the list will be a tutorial on how to write a press release. Other miscellaneous oddments: Logitech Web Cams ?  DO NOT BUY THEM (IMHO).  They have completely disabled the FTP features in their software and substituted image uploading to a proprietary service you can use for 2 months and then get charged for.  Of course they blame it on how hard it is to support FTP settings.  What they don't tell you is that Logitech is a funder of the proprietary service, www.spotlife.com.  NOT RECOMMENDE.  D-Link Web Cam?  Recommended.  Awesome little product.  It's the first webcam that, for me, just worked.  No direct FTP support so I'm evaluating some of the different free utilities that do this.    IdeaTools by eVectors?  Very, very interesting.  It looks quite cool.  More on this later. 12:08:51 PM  Google It!  comment []   IM Me About This

Ok.  This is Just Plain Cool.
