A Recipe for How to Not Have Enough Time to Think, Eat, Breathe or Blog

Here's the reason for the slowed output:

  1. Launch North American business venture with cool, company outside of the continental United States.
  2. Be at the mid point of finishing a fairly good sized project for a very interesting non-profit organization.
  3. Pack for 8 days out of the country.
  4. Choose the wrong hosted server vendor and have that cost you approximately 1 month's worth of time to market.
  5. Have the intersection of IBM's poor quality and less than positive approach to a recovery disc force you into a Linux laptop before you were ready -- where ready = jump off the Wintel hell hole and into the embrace of Apple and OS X.
  6. Get your house ready to go on the market.
  7. Sign the papers to sell your house and get them to your real estate agent the day before you leave the country.  At the last minute of course.
  8. Repeat any one of steps 1 through 6 a near infinite number of times just to eliminate variety from your life.  In particular, step #6, almost like a software project, is an infinitely receding date -- until you just say "Ship It" and move to step 7.

Sigh.  Long day.  Perhaps more later.

Let's See if TrafficMagnet Bothers to Respond

I just got yet another spam from TrafficMagnet -- this time based on an article I posted on www.phpbeginner.com.  I emailed "Christine Hall" the blog url (below) of my bile filled rant about them.  It'll be interesting to see if they respond.

Rant: http://radio.weblogs.com/0103807/2002/07/05.html#a353

I'm seriously considering adding a server side access deny to any requests from this domain.  Sigh.  IMHO, they are idiots beyond compare. (Why IMHO?  Because this makes it a statement of opinion, not fact, and that lessens legal liability AFAIK).

Glossary:

  • IMHO = In My Humble Opinion
  • AFAIK = As Far as I Know
