Weblogs are conversations too - the famous book Cluetrain Manifesto explained that markets are conversations.  Well, weblogs are conversations as well.  And the recent exchange of postings about Judge Posner's remarks very clearly illustrates this.  But I don't want you to have to run around the Internet looking at all of these posts to understand what I'm talking about, so I wrote a little piece called Anatomy of a Conversation Among Weblogs.  Why did I write it?  Because the Internet never ceases to amaze me.

Will Supremes take copyright case from the Fifth Circuit? - Howard reports this interesting development in an interesting case from the Fifth Circuit.  In Veeck the court ultimately ruled that it was okay for a retired guy to post building codes for rural counties in Texas and Oklahoma on his website.  This is one of those "who-owns-the-law?" situations.  The Fifth Circuit finally got it right so I can't believe The Supremes are going to take a writ on this, but I guess if the Solicitor General wants them to they will.

Scanning "how to" article - in Law.com with some great practical advice.  I'm still amazed at how much more productive I am since I started scanning.  No doubt it takes some thought and some committment, but it's worth it.
