Save the women, children and TiVos - Well the BellSouth guy just left and the good news is that my home phone is working. The bad news is that he figured out that the problem was the TiVo. Long story short: bad modem. This is the second time. And this time I had it plugged into a surge protector. Okay, it wasn't a Monster Cable surge protector, but it was a surge protector. So all of you happy holiday shoppers who are looking to buy a TiVo (which I still highly recommend) save some money for a good surge protector. After all, once you get addicted to it (as you surely will) you don't want to have to live without it for two weeks while it goes to the TiVo away camp for modem repairs.
