Joi Ito has some very interesting, and carefully thought-out, observations about the Internet's role, if any, in shaping an emergent democracy. This is the kind of thing you'd like to see our politicians write about. You know, the guys whose vision of the "right path" is always keenly shaped by "our children's future." Funny you don't see them talking about the role of the Internet. Hey, they're the experts on what's good for the country so Joi and others must be focusing on wrong things. Right?
