Jasper Update: I just talked to Pet Emergency. Jasper seems to be doing much better - livelier and perkier. They have him hooked up to an IV of fluids so he should be about ready to float away by now. Tomorrow morning, I'll take him over to my vet's. He can spend the day there under observation and hooked up to the gas tank. Hopefully my vet will be able ascertain what's going on. 8:28:47 PM    comment []

Westchester Lagoon Ice Classic update: The ice has not changed appreciably. Although I did see a kayaker in the small open lead on the East end. That was one desperate kayaker....Too bad I didn't have a camera. Tomorrow is May 6th and we have two votes for May 6th: Phil Ackley Alix Partnow I would suggest they get out on the ice tomorrow with a blow torch. That will be their only chance for ice out on May 6th.... Here are two pictures from 9:30 PM last night. I'm worried: I had to take Jasper (my 18 year old cat) to Pet Emergency this morning. He was listless, wouldn't eat, and had a mild case of the runs. He had dental work done on Wednesday - his listlessness this morning is probably related. The vet says that may be his organ system was a tad stressed by the surgery.
