Honus Wagner is my favorite "old time" player
The Hall of Fame was a total blast! It was my version of a Haj to Mecca. Peter and I definitely paid homage to the baseball greats. My favorite exhibit (other than the really great gift shop) was the origins and growth of baseball. Peter's favorite was the evolution of the glove - which was pretty cool. How did those guys catch the ball with such crummy little gloves?
The hall with plaques is pretty impressive - what an incredible collection of players. I really liked the little nook reversed for the Hall's inaugural class of 1936: Ty Cobb, Christy Matthewson, Walter Johnson, Honus Wagner, and Babe Ruth.
Cooperstown and the Hall of Fame are like dying and going to baseball heaven:
