 Here's Mei-Ling and Hsiu-Ming, Mei-Ling's brother. Hsiu-Ming is one of my favorites - we're big buddies. He is a cutie.

 Here's Mei-Ling cooking up a Chinese Feast! However, I have to say that the white ovalesque blobs in the pan are not a particular Slat Rat favorite - Quail Eggs. ugh.
However, the rest of the meal was FANTASTIC.

 Here we all are - Dad's family and close friends - gathered around the dinner table, eating great Chinese food, drinking, and telling Dad stories.
Dad would be so proud and so happy.
By the way, my lanyards were a big hit. Whew!

 The pile to the left is my little project for Dad's wake tomorrow. I made cards with famous Dad sayings and events, my secretary laminated and cut them, and then I attached them to lanyards. Each of the guests tomorrow will get a "Dad" card to wear. I think the cards will be great conversation starters and will hopefully bring back lots of fun memories. Either that, or it's a really lame idea.
This project was definitely a boon to the REI lanyard supplier - I bought out all the lanyards in the Anchorage and Grand Junction REI's.
